What Is A Blog Anyway??

What Is A Blog Anyway?

Blogs have been around for around 10 years and are becoming more common. They are easy to access on the world wide web and anyone can set one up.
A blog is a social discussion or information site, like a personal diary that you can write posts between a person or groups. They are your own private thoughts, opinions, information or memos to the world. This is what you would you would call a 'Personal Blog'.
Other blogs can include, newspaper blogs, sports blogs, dieting blogs etc.
So there are wide range of different blogs that are there for many different reasons, many different shapes and sizes, colours and information.

So What Is The Difference between A Blog And A Website?

Blogs and websites can be very different, but they can also be very much the same.
Blogs can be colourful, appealing, catergorised, clearly labelled and they have reviews from 'regular' people that are also intrested in getting the information from people who have experienced it e.g buying a car, people are going to trust people's own experience on how they have found the car, the advantages and disadvantages. You also know that they have not been tested on race tracks to see how good they are at skids etc.
Websites can also be colourful and appealing. But can you trust the web pages with the information given, is it a experienced person giving you the information that you need e.g with cars would you trust the website trying to sell you cars, because face it most people will say what they need to say in order to sell you that car. I also looked at one website, which i thought was fantastic it was eay to use, colourful and all the basic information you require on the choosen car. After looking through the website i decided to see if i agreed with what was said on there about my own car, but the website did not even know my car, apperentley that had never heard of it.
There are many differences between blogs and websites, also many similarities. Blogs are more personal and i think more trustworthy, whereas websites are world wide, easy to find and access, maybe not the truth.
